Hi!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin will be implanted with a cochlear implant soon. I have been researching cochlear implants and learned that there are reports of malfunctioning cochlear implants. Some signs of failed cochlear implants include: sudden popping noises or sudden discomfort. More signs are listed here. Are you familiar with any of these possibly defective cochlear implants?
I have heard of malfunctions but it's anecdotal and mostly based on unsuitability of the recipient.
ReplyDeleteOf course noone wants a malfunction.
With any of these things there will be a failure rate, but what can you do? Need to be able to hear.
Good Luck with whatever path you take...
